Trader Joe's Perfect Pair Photo Contest Is Making Us Want to Try All the Combos
The #MatchMadeAtTJsContest is bringing up food duos we never dreamed of.
Everyone who shops Trader Joe’s knows the experience and products are something special. We’ve raved about their butternut fries and even found Christmas spirit in the aisles. But their newest campaign is something else.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, the supermarket chain is running a social media contest to find the perfect product pair. (Cute, right?) The contest, called Match Made at TJ's, asks customers to share two of their favorite TJ’s products that taste unexpectedly delicious together, and post photos on Instagram with the hashtag #MatchMadeAtTJsContest.
The best photo (judged by TJ's) will win a $222 TJ’s gift card, and the two runners up will each receive a $44 gift card.
If you want to join in, there's still time: The contest runs until February 22 at 6:30 p.m. Pacific time. While we aren't (alas) judges, here are six combos that most impressed us. Not only do their flavor combinations sound good, but they also seem pretty healthy. You can find us in the TJ’s aisle getting ready to try all of them.
Organic Shredded Green and Red Cabbage With Ground Pork
Brilliant! All the flavor of an egg roll, but in a crunchy salad bowl.
Dried Baby Bananas Dipped in Raw Crunchy Almond Butter
Finally it’s socially acceptable to treat nut butter as a dip.
Frozen Strawberries With Coconut Milk
This looks like the easiest smoothie bowl we’ve ever seen—and there's no added sugar.
Thai Vegetable Gyoza With Green Goddess Dressing
Honestly, we're just disappointed we didn't think of this first.
Creamy Tomato Soup Crackers With Spinach and Kale Green Yogurt Dip
Tomato flavored powder is a surprising, yet scrumptious, addition to Greek yogurt dip.
Jackfruit With Korean Style BBQ Sauce
We're still amazed how meaty this vegan fruit tastes. Just check out all our favorite jackfruit recipes.
Cruciferous Crunch Blend With Buffalo Chicken Meatballs
A shredded blend of kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and green and red cabbage seems like it would make the perfect base for buffalo chicken meatballs. Yum!
